Saying “No” to the Enemey’s Agenda
Been thinking lately, maybe the reason some of the bad things that are happening in our lives is because we are saying “yes” to enemy’s agenda instead of saying “no” when his attacks comes. When the attack begins just try saying “no” with your God given authority and watch what happens. I have been doing this lately and have seen results. Living in victory every day! Be blessed!
Do No Harm
Do No Harm
When I worked at the hospital as a RN, I would pray everyday prior to going out on the floor to work. The prayer I prayed was this: “Lord, help me to do no harm”. I knew I was only a human and could very easily make a mistake that could cause problems in my patient’s life. I wanted to cover them and myself from such trouble.
Applying Doing No Harm to Our Christian Walk
What if we as followers of Christ (teachers, pastors, apostles, prophets, evangelists, everyone) prayed this prayer every morning as our feet hit the floor before starting our day. “Doing no harm” is not about patting someone on their back saying “You are going to be okay” just to make another person to feel better in the midst of their sin. It is not about making an exception to God’s commandments/laws just to make someone feel better about themselves because their particular situation was or is a difficult one. “Doing no harm” is standing on the Word of God and loving others as God loves them. We have to do both, standing on the Word and loving as God loves, neither can stand alone because God’s love is reflected in His Word.
We Have Became Too Much Like the World
The world’s ideas has infiltrated the church and the “Christian” life way too much. We are more concern about how our words or actions affects a person emotionally than we are how they will affect them spiritually. The life we live here on earth is a mere microscopic speck compared the life we will live out throughout eternity. We as a church have become way too carnal in our thinking. We have made decisions based on the flesh (our emotions) not by the leading of the Spirit. We have become more concerned with satisfying the flesh than the glorifying an all powerful God. We have led lives that have deceived others in to believing a loving God would never send a person to hell for their sins of commission or omission. In reality, most “Christians” today do not know what the Bible says, they depend on what they hear and see from the church pulpits on Sunday morning or what they see in the media, many of which are watered down versions of the truth that are found between the covers of the Holy Bible. Many times these messages that are shared have little resemblance to the real truth of God. It is time to be real and begin to live authentic lives that reflect the life that Christ lived out in the gospels of the New Testament.
Prayer Changes Things
Let us all begin to pray this prayer, “Lord help me to do no harm today” every morning of our lives, knowing that the way we live and the things we say can and will make a difference in the lives of those that come in our paths every day. Our lives, our words may have a fatal impact or may have a positive impact in another’s life. The Bible puts this way in Matthew 12:35-37, “The good person out of his good treasure brings forth good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure brings forth evil. I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
Be Blessed,

Quit Biting Your Lip
Quit Biting Your Lip
Have you ever bit your lip and soon after without warning you bite it again? Well, the other day I bit my lip and next day it happened again. This second time I heard the Holy Spirit say, “You need to quit biting your lip”. I knew immediately what He was saying to me, it was time stop being quiet. This year with all its chaos and drama has had an effect of causing many of the followers of Christ to sit by quietly failing to be a voice for Christ. It is as if the facemasks that we wear are symbolic muzzles, keeping us from being bold for the cause of Christ. I watched a TV program recently that portrayed Christians as hypocritical, mean-spirited bigots. At the same time one of the lead figures in the show was shown as a kind, loving person even though his lifestyle did not line up with the Word of God. Those of us that are trying to live out our lives humbly and peacefully before God have failed Him in that we have allowed others to muzzle us like you would muzzle an angry canine. The world is trying to keep us from proclaiming the Word of God because they are afraid of our bite. It is true that Jesus was meek as Lamb, but He was also as mighty and power as a Lion. He is the Lion of Judah! This is the year of the mouth, not through the flesh, speaking whatever our emotions want us to blurt out of our mouths, but through the Holy Spirit roaring like a Lion, roaring out the mandates of the Father. So, it is now time to quit biting our lips and begin to follow the lead of the Holy Spirit proclaiming the Word of the Lord throughout the earth. As we do this, we will begin to see the Holy Spirit performing all that has been promised in the Word of God. Lives will be changed by the power of the Holy Spirit. Joel 2:28, 29 “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions. Even on the male and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit.” I do long for this prophesy to come past. I long for eyes that are blind to the truth of God to see. I long for the healing of God to touch lives of others like never seen before. Please join with me in prayer for all of us, the followers of Christ, that we will begin to walk in a Holy Boldness and reach our world for Christ!
Shalom,
Terry
The Sifting
Pictured is one of the bowls my mama used to make her cakes at Christmas. She loved to bake for all of us at Christmas. Beside the bowl is my mother-in-law’s measuring cup. She loved to make pies for our enjoyment. They sifted many of cups of flour in their day making biscuits, cakes, and pies. Both are now rejoicing in Heaven. I am glad they are not here to experience the troubles that we all have gone through in 2020. Truth is I know my mama would have dealt with it a much better than some of us. Her wisdom and patience would have shown on brightly during this time.

Secrets of the Garden Introduction
April 18, 2023 by admin • blog 0 Comments
I had been planning to start doing a video/narrative blog called “Secrets of the Garden” for some time now, but the timing has not been right as well there had been delays in my own personal life. Secrets of Garden is about growing in Lord and being prepared to walk this way of the cross that we started walking when we accepted Jesus as our Savior.
We live in troubling times. When watching and listening to media it is hard to tell what truth is and what is lies. Many are being deceived by the narratives that are presented to us daily. A whole generation, the Z generation, are being deceived.
I could preach about the signs of the times. I could tell you that you need to change and if you do not change you have doomed yourself to hell. I could tell you how to prepare in the natural for possible coming days of trouble. And all these things are important!
But I believe God is calling each one of us to intimacy with Him. He is desiring that we realize us individually the need to become who He has set us apart to be, who we are in Christ. If we do not have a deep-seated relationship with/in Him today and the coming days, we may fall into a hopelessness.
With all that said…
What are the Secrets of the Garden?
Secrets of the Garden is about seeking intimacy with the Father and getting to know Him more. It is about this beautiful journey that was place in front of us when we accepted Him has our Savior. For sure a difficult journey at times as we choose to die to self daily and take up our crosses and follow Him.
1Corinthians 15:31
I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
Luke 9:23
And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Within the two covers of the Bible are many secrets to be revealed that is the secrets to living a life of peace and joy in the Lord. There are treasures to be found in the pages of the Word of God that will change your life.
Lifeway did research concerning the effect that the Bible can have on our lives if we just pick the Bible up and reading it several times a week.

9 Tangible Benefits of Bible Reading for Your Church
Insights| Bible & Theology | Jan 20, 2021
By Jeff Martin
The Center of Bible Engagement compiled extensive research findings by Arnold Cole, Ed.D. & Pamela Caudill Ovwigho, Ph.D. into a document titled “Understanding the Bible Engagement Challenge: Scientific Evidence for the Power of 4.”
In the study, they polled 40,000 people ages 8 to 80. They wanted to see how people were engaging in Scripture
The study indicated that when people engaged in the Scripture one time a week, which could include a pastor instructing the congregation to “open your Bibles…”, there was negligible effect on some key areas of their life. The same result was true if people engaged in the Scriptures two times a week. The result equaled little to no effect.
Three times a week saw a small indication of life. There was a slight pulse, a faint heartbeat. Something moved in the behavior of the person engaging in Scripture.
The eye opener happened when Bible engagement reached at least four times a week.
A steady climb of impact would have been expected, but that was not the case. The level was basically stagnant over days one and two, with a small bump on day three. But when day four was reached, the effects spiked in an astounding way. The stunning findings included the following:
The research literally leaps off the charts. The findings hammer home the truth that there are profound differences between people who engage the Scripture at least four times a week and those who engage with the Scripture less often. This data is extremely revealing. There is a full-blown effort to keep the followers of Christ from consistently reading the Bible daily.
This research proves that reading the Bible, seeking out its truth, its secrets will without a doubt will change our lives. By reading/studying the Bible the Fruit of the Spirit begins to show up in our lives (Galatians 5:22,23)
You will begin to learn how to live through the Spirit and not the flesh. As we study the Bible hidden secrets will be revealed that will empower us to live a life that is full of joy and peace. Spending special time with the Lord through Bible study and praying will develop a relationship with Him. A closeness will manifest in your life that will take away any desire to live a sinful life.
So, what is it you need in your life?
The Word of God has the answers!
A close relationship with the Father has the answers!
